Customer Safeguards
Reverse Mortgage Works, a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association, National Reverse Mortgage Lenders Association, and the Better Business Bureau, steadfastly adheres to the highest ethical standards in its mission to serve the senior market, along with each individual's financial goals and objectives.
We follow the NRMLA Code of Conduct and Best Practices Standards, created to protect seniors from predatory lending practices.
- Our Loan Representatives provide documents describing all products and benefit options available to each senior.
- We gladly meet with each senior and that senior borrower's advisors, both personal and professional, to review the needs and options available to that senior.
- We use HUD-approved counselors to provide senior borrowers with an objective review of the product, prior to filling out an application.
- We carefully review the program and product choice by the senior borrower prior to submission to Underwriting.
- Our underwriting partners conduct a secondary review of the loan submission, program and product selection.
- After the closing, we follow up to assess satisfaction with the loan and the loan process.
These practices are intended to assure that senior borrowers and their advisors are provided with objective, complete, and honest information to assist them in selecting the right reverse mortgage program and product options.
