Paul Lyons has more than 24 years of experience in the mortgage banking industry. Prior to joining CS Financial, Mr. Lyons held senior management positions in secondary marketing and capital markets for an Orange County, CA-based community bank (Pacific Mercantile Bank) and a large mortgage company (ACC Capital Holdings). In these roles, he was responsible for developing loan products and selling billions of dollars of residential mortgage loans to Wall Street firms, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and Ginnie Mae. Mr. Lyons has extensive experience in mortgage operations and has had management roles in lending operations, technology, post closing and loan servicing. Mr. Lyons has also been responsible for the creation, development and management of a number of retail branch lending platforms.
Ms. Mai Nguyen joined CS Financial as the Chief Financial Officer in 2008. She has extensive experience in accounting, finance and human resources in real estate, mortgage and escrow. Prior to joining CS Financial, she was the Chief Financial Officer of First Capital Group, a mortgage banking company based in Los Angeles and acquired by Berkshire Hathaway Company. As Regional Controller at Prudential California Realty, an affiliate of Berkshire Hathaway Company, she oversaw the operation of the Central Coast, Los Angeles and Orange County regions. Ms. Nguyen graduated from California State University, Northridge with a degree in Finance.
Neal Mendelsohn brings over 27 years of creative and executive leadership experience in branding, advertising, direct and digital marketing to CS Financial. He began his career in the 80’s as a copywriter for agencies serving the restaurant and video game industry and later rose to Chief Creative Officer. In 1995, Mr. Mendelsohn launched Critical Mass Advertising, which was acquired in 2001. He then launched Fourth Wall, a creative agency specializing in work for clients in mortgage/financial services, education and healthcare. Focusing on efficient lead generation and conversion, Mr. Mendelsohn helped grow Countrywide Bank from $100 million in assets to over $120 billion, making it one of the fastest growing banks in American history.
Blake Scheifele is an experienced producer, manager, and entrepreneur with over 26 years of mortgage industry experience. Mr. Scheifele began his career at Coast Federal Bank as a top-producing retail loan officer and then a top-producing wholesale account executive. After Coast’s sale to Home Savings of America and eventually to WAMU, he co-founded No Red Tape Mortgage, which funded over $6B from 1998-2007 as the wholesale division of Metrocities Mortgage. Following that, he returned to retail mortgage banking as a production manager with Skyline Financial and opened a West Coast retail mortgage division in Orange County for New Jersey-based Grand Bank. Mr. Scheifele is an alumnus of the Leeds School of Business, University of Colorado.
Julie Duong has more than 17 years of experience in the mortgage banking industry. Beginning with Countrywide Home Loans in 1992, Ms. Duong developed a comprehensive knowledge of mortgage credit including obtaining her DE with FHA, and held positions as underwriter, Branch Manager, and Regional Vice President for Countrywide’s Wholesale Lending Division. Her expertise includes the development policies and procedures for underwriting and loan compliance, process flow and branch operations engineering and the implementation of best practices in a branch environment. Ms. Duong is an alumnus of Santa Clara University.
Jeff Uniack has over 22 years experience in retail mortgage production management, which has been focused almost entirely in West Los Angeles and north through Santa Barbara, a market that the Company has deep roots in and is very desirous to continue to build upon its competitive advantages in. Jeff has a very strong background in developing partnerships with Realtors and Real Estate Brokerage franchises, which is a big part of the Company's future strategic plan, as it prepares for the return of a strong home purchase cycle.
